According to a recent report, Ford will introduce an F-150 concept at the North American International Auto Show.
Designed to preview the 2015 model, the truck could steal thunder from the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra which will also debut at the show.
As we have previously reported, the F-150 is expected to feature lightweight chassis components and aluminum bodywork. These changes could enable the model to weigh up to 750 lbs (340 kg) less than its predecessor.
The truck could also be offered with a next-generation engine which is reportedly being developed under the "Nano" codename. Details are limited, but rumors suggest there will be a turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 which will be paired to a new eight-speed automatic transmission.
